Welcome to the FIABCI-USA website!

I am so honored to take the responsibility of FIABCI-USA President at this crossroads in our history. Immediate Past-President Danielle Grossenbacher led a complete turnaround for our Chapter while helping to launch the World Councils on the international level. These are truly remarkable achievements and I want to express my profound thanks to Danielle for everything she has done to bring us to this point. We now have the duty to take the next steps to ensure that momentum is maintained and the organization continues to grow.

We need to grow not only in the number of members, but in the quality of the professionals we attract and the contributions we make to international real estate markets. My first priority is the diversification of our membership. To represent the entire profession, we want to attract more members practicing in commercial real estate as well as appraisers, developers, architects, attorneys and financial professionals.

Another initiative will be to open our organization to the other FIABCI Chapters around the world. At our Spring Symposium we had representatives from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Panama, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Turkey and Venezuela. I am continually impressed by the prestigious market leaders that are members of the FIABCI family around the world. Through the use of technology, we plan to bring these leaders to an upcoming Council event near you. In addition we have initial plans to conduct joint meetings with other Chapters in the Americas as well as Trade Missions to other regions.

Finally, we are actively investigating products and services that can help you increase your professionalism and competitive edge. We have rolled out a new Online Member Community that allows you to create a dynamic professional profile. Many of you have requested help with the use of social media and Internet Marketing. Look for Webinars on these topics soon.

To our members, thank you for your membership. If you are not yet a member, please join us today as we continue to develop a professional real estate community on a local, national and international level so that we can grow a broad base of contacts that will translate into increased business opportunities and ultimately financial success.

Please join me this year and take action to help raise awareness of the excellence of our organization. You can reach out to a developer and help them enter the Grand Prix of Real Estate; recruit your attorney, financial professional or project manager, or volunteer to host an exchange student from overseas. I am certain that your actions to benefit FIABCI will return to you many times over.
